XGear uses an inbuilt GPS to locate your position, from a cold start to locking the GPS satellite it sometimes take more time depending on the location. This does not have an impact on the distance travelled as the trip starts as soon as the ignition is turned on.

The data remains in the portal for the life of XGear, we believe in empowering you by giving you access to your vehicle data.

After logging in to the portal, go to Vehicles tab and select the desired login. Click on edit and enter the current odometer reading in the portal.

XGear gives you subtle cues on the connectivity status of the hardware.

1 Beep means, the hardware is plugged in correctly.
2 Beeps mean, the hardware has successfully logged in to the ECU of your vehicle.
3 Beeps mean, the hardware has successfully logged in to the secure XGear cloud.

You can configure notifications to be delivered at multiple devices via email, webhooks or sms depending on your preference.

XGear works near-realtime, meaning data is typically available no more than 40 seconds after taking place. In case you loose connectivity XGear stores your data on the hardware and transmits as soon as the connectivity resumes.

You can either use XGear mobile app or go to http://my.xgear.io to login to the system with your registered credentials.

Yes, if you don’t like or are not convinced with the value of XGear you can get a refund within 45 days of purchase.

The XGear dongle will not impact the functionality of a “compatible vehicle”.

Simply unplug the device from the OBD port.

If you wish to continue on XGear we may be able to send a replacement device for your new car.

You should call the police as soon as possible and then your insurer to report the theft.

If there is a problem with the XGear dongle that cannot be fixed over the air, we will organize with you to return the device within the warranty period and send you a replacement.

Simply remove it from the OBD socket and re-install the unit in your new car. Ensure that you contact us on support@xgear.io to notify us of any changes.
